Anxiety Symptoms

Learning the anxiety symptoms can be very useful since anxiety can be very debilitating and it is classified as a disease.

In its most extreme case anxiety can show itself as a panic attack. Here, however, we will focus on the general symptoms of anxiety. A lot of the symptoms are the same for stress, so don't be surprised if some sound familiar. The fundamental difference is that anxiety can have a much more sudden and severe effect than stress usually has. Click here to learn the difference between stress and anxiety symptoms.

I encourage anybody who has medical questions to consult with their doctor!

Anxiety has the following general symptoms:

  • Tremors or shivers
  • Excessive sweating
  • Nausea and stomach cramps
  • Chest pain and muscle tensions
  • Migraine
  • Sadness and uncontrolled crying
  • Self-hate and general mistrust
  • A feeling of being unable to perform
These are just some of the most common symptoms of anxiety that are being experienced. If you are suffering from anxiety, you might recognize some of the symptoms. If you do not recognize any of the symptoms above, but you think you may suffer from anxieties consult your doctor first: Just because you do not see any of the symptoms I list here does not mean that you are "safe" so to speak. Like stress anxiety is an individual thing.
