Cardiac Stress Test

A cardiac stress test is also known as a heart stress test. And while it does not measure your stress level directly, it is a good proxy (second measure) for how good your heart can tackle stress.

You heart is very affected by the stress we all experience in our lives - so knowing whether your heart is good at handling stress or not can be very helpful! - This is where the cardiac test can help!

A stress test of your heart can be done in a couple of ways. The most common is with the help of a treadmill to stress your heart, and a camera and contrast drug to take pictures of your heart.

If you are unable to stress your heart by walking or running, other forms of cardiac tests can be performed by a doctor or other physician.

The purpose is to measure how your heart responds to stress and this can lead to a diagnosis of potential heart problems. Remember, that a test may also well give you positive confirmation that you are in good health.
